Why now?

2020 has hit businesses hard and like many others I was made redundant. Not a time to be disheartened but a time to adjust and find new focus. Then came the lightbulb moment (hence the logo)!

I’m Sarah; proud mum, business owner and optimist! I have over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing in retail, wholesale, hospitality, services and manufacturing across food, domestic appliances, engineering, telecoms and clothing. From content creation for industry leading brands to press releases for product launches, I have a wealth of knowledge and realised I could provide my insights to help grow other businesses.

Using all my past experiences and doing what I never thought possible, I decided to live the dream and go for it with my own business. I’ve worked with many small companies along the way and know how much hard work and effort goes into making a success of an idea. I am really passionate about what I do and have so much to offer to these SMEs so I brought all my thoughts together and on 1st August 2020, Identity Defined was born!

Not another Marketing Agency?

Not at all! I want to do things differently. Costs to clients are kept to a minimum due to low overheads, environmentally friendly ways of working and a targeted approach. Every project is tailored to the business I am working with and is totally bespoke. From one off pieces of content to long term social media projects, I have found that the flexibility is well received by business owners.

I’ve met some great people along my journey to becoming a single ‘mumpreneur’ and am pleased to be able work in partnership with other freelancers to deliver website builds, detailed graphics or even print solutions. This means many people are benefiting from the low-cost services Identity can provide. I hope to build on this in the future and be able to offer longer term work to the creative people around me.
